INFO
A whimsical illustrated cityscape created for a custom Sugarwish puzzle, celebrating the joy of gifting through playful narrative detail.
PROBLEM
The piece needed to capture the playful, joyful spirit of Sugarwish gifting in a single scene — and, since it was designed for a puzzle format, reward close attention as it was assembled rather than reading as one flat image.
SOLUTION
I imagined a cheerful urban street where gifts arrive by every means possible — balloons lift packages into the sky, a small plane pulls a celebratory banner, delivery vehicles move through the neighborhood. Using a loose, hand-drawn style and a bright palette, I layered architectural detail with whimsical storytelling — colorful storefronts, passing pedestrians, small narrative moments like a dog walk or gifts floating through the air — so the piece stays engaging to assemble and enjoyable to revisit.
